Iwate

Iwate is a prefecture located in the Tōhoku region of Japan. It is situated on the country’s northeastern coast and is known for its natural beauty, including mountainous terrain and coastline along the Pacific Ocean. The capital city of Iwate prefecture is Morioka. Iwate is recognized for its rich cultural heritage, historical sites, and traditional festivals, as well as its agricultural products such as rice and cattle. It is also notable for its involvement in the recovery efforts following the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
