Mount Everest

Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world, with its summit reaching an elevation of 8,848.86 meters (29,031.7 feet) above sea level. It is part of the Himalayas and is located on the border between Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Known as “Sagarmatha” in Nepali and “Chomolungma” in Tibetan, Mount Everest is a significant destination for mountaineers and trekkers. The mountain presents various challenges due to its extreme altitude, weather conditions, and technical climbing routes. It has been a site of numerous climbing expeditions, with the first successful ascent achieved by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953.
